The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is newly refreshed and in today’s review we test the top trim 2025 Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum equipped with the 6.2L V8 to see if it still is the ultimate luxury SUV on the market. For the 2025 model year, Cadillac’s fullsize SUV gets more screens (like, a LOT more), motorized doors, and tweaked interior and exterior styling. On the powertrain front, the DURAMAX diesel option was removed and the naturally-aspirated 6.2L V8 remains as the sole option.
But did the Escalade really need an update? And did the changes Cadillac made actually improve the SUV? We find the answer to those questions today and compare it to the likes of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, and Mercedes-Benz GLS. And with a now even steeper as-tested price of $124,295.00 USD ($159,686.00 CAD here in Canada) the Cadillac Escalade cannot afford a misstep.
