Fixing multiple misfires and oil leaks on this pristine Audi A5 then TEST DRIVE!

This time in the AutoEdits garage I’m going to introduce you to a really cool new project vehicle that was gifted to me from a family member but needed a few repairs to run right.
The car is a 2009 Audi A5 Quattro with the 3.2L 265 horsepower FSI V6 engine. It was throwing multiple cylinder misfire DTC check engine light codes, also showing cylinders 3/5 contribution balance errors and had a very rough idle, sometimes stalling out completely.
So I decided to set a tentative budget and start the fix by learning the basics of Audi repair by watching other YouTube videos and using an online manual. Getting the A5 into service position was a bit intimidating at first since you have to remove the front bumper cover, crash bar, splash shields and unbolt the entire core support and slide it forward a few inches… it’s a lot!
Then things got very interesting for me.
I found myself really getting into the wrenching and learning all I could about how to solve the problems in a cost effective way. After taking the intake manifold off and doing an oil / carbon cleaning on the intake valve ports… I discovered two of the fuel injectors to be faulty and leaking some extra fuel in the cylinders.
It was the first time in months I could focus on something difficult for hours at a time and not even think about picking up my phone to scan social media 🤣 I didn’t shoot my usual How To video because I was thoroughly enjoying the process of wrenching in the garage and blasting music… IT WAS GREAT!
The end result… I went a bit over budget but the car runs amazing and I now get to make plans on what to do with it from here… any recommendations???
