In today’s review we test the new BMW X2 M35i, the coupe-ified M Sport version of BMW’s entry level X1 sub compact SUV. Powered by a turbocharged 2.0L inline 4, the M35i produces 312 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque which get sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. These numbers give the BMW X2 M35i a respectable 0-60 time of about 5.0 seconds!
But while we genuinely liked the BMW X1 28i, a more recent BMW in the form of the all-new BMW X3 did not fare well when put under scrutiny. Add our existing opinions about “Coupe” SUVs (they’re not coupes, they got 4 doors!), and one can ask how much we will like this new BMW X2. Clocking in at $60,325.00 USD and $75,079.00 CAD, we evaluate the 2025 BMW X2’s driving performance, handling, interior, and exterior styling. Is the 2025 BMW X2 M35i worth your money?
