Hennessey’s power boost for Cadillac 6.2-liter V8-powered vehicles transforms the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing’s acceleration and driving dynamics, taking power from the factory 668 horsepower to an insane 1,000 horsepower.
Equipped with GM’s supercharged LT4 engine, Cadillac’s CT5-V Blackwing was a natural candidate for our EXORCIST upgrade because it significantly increased power without impacting drivability.
Hennessey’s engineering team installed a powerful high-flow supercharger upgrade, a custom HPE camshaft, and an auxiliary fuel system upgrade on GM’s popular 6.2-liter V8 (L87 EcoTec3) engine. Long-tube stainless steel manifolds and engine management software were updated with HPE engine management calibration. Finally, tappets and pushrods were installed to enhance performance.
Following the laboratory-based evaluation, the development process moves to Hennessey® Performance’s various field dynamometers for live evaluation. The final stage of tuning involves testing development models of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing at the Pennzoil Proving Grounds at Hennessey® Performance’s headquarters. This final phase is used to evaluate the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing tuning upgrade in the real world. Even after each model series is approved, each customer vehicle undergoes a series of quality assurance tests, including a detailed test drive by Hennessey® Performance engineers.
