“Volkswagen premiered the Taos back in 2021 and now offer this mid-cycle refresh for 2025 giving it a more upscale and rugged vibe. It now feels like a baby Atlas (which I reviewed and really liked), vs. the other sibling, the sleeker Tiguan. The shapers at VW have balanced the angular trim with the rounded corners nicely. I like big bold geometric grill (with sort of an underbite), LED light bar, and a sculpted hood. There are four trims available: S, SE, SE Black, and SEL. Basically the exterior stays the same which means your $25,000 (?!) base S trim is close enough in style that you could save some scratch and add on some extras to beat the SE trim if you wanted. Dads are always looking to save a buck.”
